How to blend colors with epoxy resin pouring?

Start with a color wheel. Understanding basic color theory will help you create visually appealing blends. Complementary colors (colors opposite each other on the wheel) create high contrast, while analogous colors (colors next to each other on the wheel) create a harmonious and soothing effect.

Experiment with different shades and tints of the same color to create depth and dimension in your artworks. Mixing light and dark shades of a single color can produce stunning effects.

Consider the mood and theme you want to convey in your artwork. Warm colors like red, orange, and yellow evoke energy and vibrancy, while cool colors like blue, green, and purple create a sense of calmness and tranquility.

Marbling: Pour each color separately onto the surface, then use a stirring stick, a toothpick, or a thin tool to create marble-like patterns by gently swirling the colors together.

Layering: Pour each color into the mold or canvas in separate layers. Use a heat gun or blowtorch to apply heat in between each layer, slightly melting the previous layer and allowing the colors to blend naturally.

Dirty Pour: Combine all the desired colors in one cup or container, then pour the mixture onto the surface in a controlled manner. Tilt and rotate the surface to blend the colors naturally.

Cell creation: Add a few drops of silicone oil or a commercial cell creation additive to your colored epoxy, which will create unique cell-like patterns as the resin cures. Use a heat gun or a torch to move and manipulate the cells.
